Enjoy covered 360° deck views, heaters, windbreaks, and refreshments while discovering the public shelter locations on Jockey's Trail.  The shelters, along with water and restroom waypoints are marked on the updated Interactive Map.


Also, learn more about the Outer Banks Hotline who provide emergency shelter and support services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.  April is the Hotline's Community for Hope awareness campaign!

The OBX Way identifies, documents, and promotes public trails to hike, bike, or kayak along the NC Outer Banks. 


Jockey's Trail is a 50-mile hiking route that starts at Jockey's Ridge State Park and travels north to the VA border.
